Hovden can offer well-maintained and well-groomed cross-country trails of world-class standard. The total length of the cross-country trails in the area measures almost 170 km.

The total length of the cross-country trails around Hovden measures almost 170 km, all of which are regularly groomed by snowmobiles. 135 km of trails are groomed for both Nordic tracks and skating lanes. The rest is dedicated to Nordic ski tracks. We are constantly working on improving and expanding the trail network to accommodate the growing number of cross-country enthusiasts who choose Hovden as their skiing destination.
The trails to Auversvatn, Badstogdalen, Galten, Tjørnbrotsbu and Auversvasseggi all now converge at a new junction at Juvet. If you go on a ski trip to Austheia, it is very likely that you will pass through this junction. It’s a great meeting place, whether you join the trail at the visitors’ car park at Hovden Fjellstoge, at Hovden town centre or at the car park along the main RV9 road at the turn-off to the Hartevassnuten cabin complex.
