Telemark is an eldorado for children. Try Norway’s biggest water park in Bø, the new ”Fairytale factory (Eventyrfabrikken) in Skien and enjoy the beautiful beaches on the coast.

Walking tours

Telemark offers a variety of marked trails – from easy Carwalks to tougher walks on the Hardanger mountain plateau. New breathtaking path in Tokke, ”Tougher than Besseggen”. Nordic walking in Vrådal.

Boat trips

Golf

Telemark can offer several good golf courses, all of them situated in beautiful surroundings; on the Kragerø Coast, outside Skien and on the shore of lake Norsjø in mid-Telemark. Golf-putting for the whole family in Vrådal.

Bicycling

Telemark is a wonderful county for cyclists, and there are many routes to choose from. Here you will find idyllic skerries with small cosy towns, mountain cycling on the Hardanger highlands, and not least mountains, lakes and culture along The Telemark Cana

Canoeing

Enjoy the beautiful coastline by canoe or kayak. The Telemark Canal is also an exciting experience for canoeing, as well as fresh water lakes in Drangedal, Fyresdal, Vrådal and Nissedal.

Fishing

Telemark is one of Norway’s best fishing counties and can offer fishing in the sea, rivers, lakes and mountain lakes. One of Europe’s best deep sea fishing waters is outside Langesund.

Other Activities

This summer Norway’s biggest area for sports and recreation opens in Skien, Skien Fritidspark. Try wakeboarding in Akkerhaugen, climb the Via Ferrata in Gautefall or maybe bungy umping from the suspension bridge in Rjukan?
